It is safe to say that there is a lot to unpack in this image. As we begin to peel back the layers and begin to break norms, challenge tradition, and reform institutions, it is my belief that we will overcome it all. Probably not in my lifetime, but for the generations that follow I have hope. For many of us, this will be a painful and emotionally draining saga, filled with tough conversations that will challenge the very values and bonds we hold so dear to us.
Already, we can see the winds of change blowing. I feel it more and more every day. Compelling me to educate others, educate myself, take actions that would have crippled my old-self. It's liberating,..even visceral. Each thought, and emotion drawing me closer to my ancestors, establishing a better foundation for my children, and reimaging my tomorrow. Nobody knows what challenges the next day will bring, and the consistent question I have for myself is...do I have the stamina for this? #blacklivesmatter #motivation #blacklove #abetterworld
